The Institute for Digital Transformation today announced the retirement of its Digital Transformation Readiness Tool (DTRT) and the launch of its new Transformation Accelerator (TA), an evolution built on the same proven Digital Transformation Framework but designed for organizations already in motion on their transformation journey.
Two years ago, the Institute introduced DTRT to help organizations assess how ready they were to begin transformation. Since then, the tool has been used by leaders to understand culture, alignment, and readiness before launching major change initiatives. Although successful, the Institute is now formally retiring DTRT.
“Most organizations are no longer asking how to get started. They are already on the road and dealing with stalled initiatives, competing priorities, and change fatigue,” said John Palinkas, CEO and Managing Partner of the Institute for Digital Transformation. “We created the Transformation Accelerator as the next evolution of our framework to meet that reality.”
Introducing the Transformation Accelerator
The Transformation Accelerator (TA) is a new diagnostic tool focused on the health of active transformation efforts. It is designed to support organizations that are already executing transformation programs and need to:

Building on the Institute’s Digital Transformation Framework, TA:

✅ Uses an analytical model to generate clear insights, visual results, and practical recommendations
TA is a new tool that evolves our framework from readiness into an in-flight transformation health check, built both for leaders who want a clear annual health check on their transformation and for those who feel stuck and need help getting moving again, faster and smarter.
Delivered Through a Five Phase Pathway
The Transformation Accelerator will be offered as part of a new advisory service called the Transformation Accelerator Pathway, a five-phase program that begins with a diagnostic using TA and then guides organizations through alignment, strategy, execution, and sustainment.
