Jessica Carroll is a transformation leader who brings together relationships, strategic clarity, communication, and operational execution to turn ideas into meaningful business impact.

As Head of Strategic Alliances and a member of the leadership team at the Institute for Digital Transformation, Carroll works extensively within the CIO and technology executive community to build relationships that expand the Institute’s reach, strengthen its thought leadership, and create meaningful opportunities for leaders to engage across Insight+, Advisory+, and Academy+.

Carroll’s perspective is grounded in experience on both sides of enterprise transformation. As an Enterprise IT Leader and CIO, she led technology organizations responsible for delivering business-critical capabilities across the enterprise, with a consistent focus on business outcomes rather than technology for technology’s sake. As a Customer Success and Chief Experience Officer for multiple B2B organizations, she led cross-functional efforts to break down silos, strengthen employee and customer engagement, improve operational effectiveness, and build more customer-focused cultures.

That combination has shaped her approach to transformation today: strategy creates value only when leaders can align people around it and translate it into execution. Her work focuses on the connections between leadership alignment, customer-first thinking, employee engagement, customer engagement, and the operational discipline required to turn transformation ambition into sustainable business results.

A frequent speaker and writer, Jessica has presented at industry events including TechEx Amsterdam, IBM Pulse, Citrix Synergy, and Microsoft Cloud Intelligence Conference. Her work has appeared in CIOInsight, BizTech Magazine, the IBM Smarter Planet Blog, and other publications. She is also a contributing author to Digital Transformation Demystified, where she writes about customer and employee engagement.

Jessica has been recognized as a Computerworld Premier 100 IT Leader and as one of CRN’s Women of the Channel.

Let’s Get Past the Hyperbole In a world way-over-saturated with talk of “Digital Transformation,” I had the pleasure of engaging with a group of forward-thinking CIOs gathered at the Adler Advisors Symposium in New York City to challenge the narrative. What emerged...

Pillars of Cultural Transformation

Pillars of Cultural Transformation

As I stepped off the presentation stage at TechEx Amsterdam this September, having just given a keynote on leading through change, one of the attendees came forward, somewhat quietly, to hand me a piece of art she had created real-time during the keynote. The powerful...

Leadership Lessons from the Salt Flats

Leadership Lessons from the Salt Flats

While back on the island of Bonaire this January after a 20-year absence, my husband and I were joined by friends and made our way to the Salt Flats, a sight that needed re-seeing. The Flats are a unique mixture of colors across the horizon within large, neat, shallow...

Saying “Goodbye” Should be Hard

Saying “Goodbye” Should be Hard

The landscape was snow covered and the roads indiscernible on the December day my family and I moved into our new house in western New Jersey. When we finally (gingerly) made it to our new street, I put my foot full down on the gas for an uphill battle with the...

Embracing the Unpredictable

Embracing the Unpredictable

When I was a little girl, I would sit on our front porch in the summer, which faced West, and watch the low clouds form late in the afternoon, which came in a grey curtain of rain across the Earth. This was summer in New Jersey, USA. Years later, in the family home I...
