John Thorp is an internationally recognized authority on value and benefits management and the author of The Information Paradox. With more than 50 years of experience across technical, management, consulting, and executive roles, his work has focused on helping organizations realize meaningful value from technology enabled change.
John’s perspective goes beyond frameworks and methodologies. He believes sustainable value requires a fundamental shift in how organizations approach leadership, governance, decision making, and accountability. His work has helped leaders connect technology investment with business outcomes and strengthen the disciplines needed to ensure change produces measurable benefits.
Working with the IT Governance Institute, John led the development of Val IT™, a framework designed to help organizations optimize the value of IT enabled investments and complement the COBIT™ governance framework. His expertise spans strategic planning, benefits realization, value management, change management, IT governance, strategic governance, and facilitation.
