First I see authentic leaders knowing who they are. They've gotten curious about their own story. Two, they've gotten meaningfully connected to others in a way that actually enables them to be transformed, to actually be changed by their colleagues and even those they lead. And then, three, they've gotten captivated by a larger story. They realize that their leadership isn't just for themselves. It's really tied into the service of others and a bigger purpose."

The subject turned to đ—Șđ—Œđ—șđ—Čđ—» đ—¶đ—» 𝗧đ—Čđ—°đ—” 𝗟đ—Čđ—źđ—±đ—Čđ—żđ˜€đ—”đ—¶đ—œ when 𝐅𝐚𝐱𝐭𝐡 𝐕𝐹𝐱𝐧𝐹𝐯𝐱𝐜𝐡 asked: "I've seen investors (especially women) viewed as "weak" just for acknowledging their weaknesses (rather than emphasizing solely their strengths), particularly in board situations. Do you have suggestions on how to handle these situations, particularly when there are power/generational dynamics at play?"

Some of the advice given was to show your intelligence, write those blog posts, put stuff on LinkedIn, go to networking experiences, give speeches, do it, show it. And by doing and showing, you'll get the respect, you'll command the presence, you'll be authentic, and you'll really be able to show people that it doesn't matter what gender you are, it just matters who you are, and it matters about the importance of who you are.

Watch the full episode for an in-depth exploration of these subjects and more, as our panel of experts navigate the complexities of leading with transparency and integrity in the digital age.

From the importance of internal wiring over generational demographics to embracing mistakes as growth opportunities, our panel covers an array of vital topics.

Here's what you can expect from this enlightening exchange:
‱ Spotlights on understanding personalities and managing resistance within the team when driving organizational change.
‱ Explorations of how instinct and rational logic can help leaders balance the overwhelming nature of change.
‱ Reflections on the importance of listening to diverse perspectives, including minority voices, to drive successful transformations.
‱ Practical advice and recommended resources for leaders facing change.

In one highlight, Stefanie Krievins advocates for a proactive approach to change management, driven by instinct as much as logic. On the other hand, Rita J. King articulates the challenge of managing the enormity of change and harmonizing humans with technology. And Alex McBratney underscores the importance of understanding your team's dynamics to manage resistance to change effectively.

In this episode, đ‘đšđ›đžđ«đ đ…đąđžđ„đ was joined by two incredible guests – đ€đ§đđ«đžđš đŒđšđ«đ€đŹđđ«đšđŠ and đŒđąđœđĄđšđžđ„ 𝐒𝐩𝐱𝐭𝐡, who consistently bring their best to their respective charities ("𝐱.𝐖𝐈𝐋𝐋” and “𝐓𝐞𝐜𝐡 𝐃𝐚đČ 𝐹𝐟 đđąđ§đ€â€) and within their organizations.

Throughout this episode, you'll discover the importance of self-care, continuous learning, and the power of networks in the digital era. Our guests shared their experiences and wisdom on topics such as the evolving role of the CIO, the value of intentional listening, navigating through failures and mistakes, and adapting to the fast-paced world of change.

Michael Kubik commented “Leaders use their impact for good! Morale does start at the top!”

Ellora Sengupta added “Morale does start at the top. We can choose how to respond to situations keeping in mind our actions have an impact on individuals on the team. Also take time to take care of ourselves as leaders so we can then take care of our team.”

Arvind Sahu noted that “Willingness to learn from failures is essential for success.” And Herb Hofmann added “And support others through theirs. Can really bring a team together.”

Lacey Elmange stated “The leaders I respect the most have demonstrated vulnerability and grace. I would follow them to the ends of the earth because of it!”

Jordana Yellin added some history “Michael, I had the honor of working with Mrs. Lauder and the Global Comms team as an exec intern (decades ago!) and my focus was on an ELC Breast Cancer Awareness college/university initiative. I've often wondered what that initiative/campaign would have looked like had a stronger partnership with technology existed. That said, I've been thrilled to see the cross-functional alignment of today support Mrs. Lauder's legacy. I imagine that it still brings camaraderie and positivity, but now the reach within the organization is broader.”
