Trevor Merriden – Institute Fellow

by The Institute | Mar 2, 2026

Hillsborough, NJ, March 2, 2026– The Institute for Digital Transformation is pleased to welcome Trevor Merriden as an Institute Fellow. Trevor is a leadership communication advisor, executive coach, and founder of Merriborn whose work focuses on a critical but often underestimated dimension of transformation: how senior leaders communicate change with clarity, confidence, and credibility when technology, strategy, and people collide.

Trevor supports executives and leadership teams navigating digital and business transformation by strengthening leadership confidence, sharpening transformation narratives, and improving how change is communicated in practice. His work sits at the intersection of transformation strategy, leadership behavior, and communication effectiveness, helping organizations move from intent to alignment, adoption, and momentum.

With a background in journalism and communication, Trevor brings a disciplined focus on language, narrative, and sense-making to complex change. He combines this with executive coaching and advisory work to help leaders articulate what transformation truly means in their context and lead it consistently through everyday communication.

Digital transformation is more than a technical challenge, it is primarily a leadership one. I’m therefore delighted to become a Fellow of the Institute for Digital Transformation, because of its clear commitment to evidence-based, independent thinking about what really drives change. I’m looking forward to contributing to strengthening the bridge between leadership strategy, communication and delivery.

Trevor is also the author of The Confidence Shift, a forthcoming book exploring how emerging and senior leaders move from self-doubt to self-belief, and how confidence scales from individual leaders to teams, culture, and organizational capability, including the role of technology and AI. As founder of Merriborn, Trevor works with knowledge-based and people-intensive organizations. His work complements the Institute’s advisory mission by reinforcing leadership-led, evidence-based transformation through clear, confident, and human communication.

We are pleased to have Trevor join the Institute as one of our Fellows and look forward to his unique perspective on leadership, communication, and transformation.
